Program Description

Event Details

Join us each month on every fourth Tuesday from 2:00 – 3:00 PM for an additional Senior Planet lecture or workshop designed to help adults learn new skills, make new friends, and so much more. Each session will cover a different topic, offering practical tips and hands-on learning.

The topic for this week's lecture is Staying in Touch as Landlines Change

An older woman using a laptop and a smartphone

This lecture will explain why copper lines are being phased out, the benefits of modern technology, and what next steps you can expect. Additionally, we will review some alternatives to traditional landlines, including those that allow you to keep your number and phone, as well as mobile phone options, and more. Finally, we’ll share important resources to help you understand where to find additional information and what options may be available to you.

This lecture does not include hands-on practice or require an electronic device.

This presentation is a part of the Senior Planet Licensing curriculum provided by Senior Planet from AARP.
