During this class, we'll be covering:

Where Do My Files Go? (Digital Storage Best Practices)

Did you just download something and now can’t find it? Did a loved one send you a photo in your email, and you don’t know how to get it? Maybe you saved a document last month and now you need to edit it, yet you can’t remember where you saved it? Well, we are here to help!

Let’s learn where all our digital files go and how to retrieve them. We will also go over some “best practices” for digital storage, and then practice a few in class. We'll have time for a bit of Q&A and leave with a quick reference guide.

Topics discussed during this class:

  • Digital storage applications (apps)
  • Navigating menus and mouse "clicks"
  • How to move and share files
  • Get organized, stay organized

Please let us know on this registration form if you plan to use one of the library's laptops during the class or if you plan to bring your own computer device to use during the class. The library's laptops use Microsoft's Windows operating system.
