During this class, we'll be covering:

Smart Phones (Do I "need" the latest one, and what can I do with them?).

Do you need a new cellphone but don’t know the first thing about them? Did a loved one buy you a new phone, but didn’t stick around long enough to teach you how to use it? Maybe you are happy with your phone, but want to know how to use it to its full potential…Well, these are the issues we will be addressing in this class!

Let’s learn about “Smart Phones”. We will talk about what features are important and why. We will also cover the pros and cons of buying new or used. Lastly, we'll have time for troubleshooting your most pressing issues on your current phone.

Topics discussed during this class:

  • What a phone “needs” in 2023-2024
  • Most common uses for your phone (besides calling and texting)
  • Basic customization
  • Where to go when you “upgrade”

Please let us know on this registration form if you plan to use one of the library's laptops during the class or if you plan to bring your own computer device to use during the class. The library's laptops use Microsoft's Windows operating system.
