Aquifers
Join us for this session as we learn all about aquifers and how it relates to our current water availability in the area! We’ll discuss aquifer types, current Comal County water table levels, our two types of aquifers, common misconceptions about aquifers, rates at which groundwater moves through an aquifer, depletion and replenishment rates, and natural filtration.
Water Conservation Series
This session is part of the Water Conservation Series, presented in partnership with Dr. Steven Grainger and Dr. Larry Sunn, rain harvesting consultants with Rain Bees. These workshops were developed in response to common questions and concerns about various topics related to water conservation, water quality, pollution increases, and ecological issues. The workshops provide a brief overview (with a chance for questions and answers) for Texas Hill Country residents to better understand where our water comes from and how to protect this important resource. The 12 sessions in this weekly series take place on Mondays from 12:00pm to 1:30pm beginning June 3rd and ending August 19th. Feel free to bring your lunch while you learn of ways we all can protect our precious water sources!
By registering for this event, you will be registered for all of the sessions in this series and will receive an email reminder the day before each session. Join us for all 12 sessions in this series or just the sessions that interest you!
