**This class has been rescheduled for Wednesday, May 24th at 1:00pm. We hope you are able to join us on the new class date.**

Join Lucy as she teaches us how to make a zipper pouch.

Attendees will need to bring their own fabric and lining to this class. Please read the supply list provided below. The supply list includes the measurements for a single zipper pouch.

Please let us know on this registration form if you plan to use one of the library's sewing machines for this class or if you will be bringing your own.

This sewing class is best for adults and teens who have intermediate to advanced sewing skills. The basics of using a sewing machine will not be covered during this class. If you are interested in beginning sewing classes, please reach out to hannah@mfplibrary.org.

Supply List

  • 1 fat quarter of fabric to be used as the lining (inside of the pouch)
  • A zipper (at least 14" long)
  • 2 pieces of fusible fleece (each piece should be approximately 11"x14")
  • Our instructor Lucy will be providing the fabric selvages that will be used to decorate the outside of the pouch, but you are welcome to bring your own if you have any you would like to use.
