During this class, we'll be covering:
Connecting with Friends & Family Online (Zoom, Line, Facetime, and more)
The past couple of years have had us all “connecting remotely”, but that doesn’t mean we really know “how” to do it ourselves. The world has grown ever smaller the more technology has advanced, and the ability to “call-up” and chat “face-to-face” with someone on the other side of the planet on a whim has made the world feel even smaller still. Yet, those of us who don’t quite know how to use this technology, have been “left out of the loop”.
Let’s learn about connecting with friends and family online. You've likely heard of “Zoom calls” at this point, but have you ever set one up yourself? Are you aware of the myriad of other options out there that do practically the same thing? Well let’s get comfortable with connecting people over the internet.
Topics discussed during this class:
- Virtual conference options
- What devices can you use, and what might be the “best setup”
- Practicing Zoom!
Please let us know on this registration form if you plan to use one of the library's laptops during the class or if you plan to bring your own computer device to use during the class. The library's laptops use Microsoft's Windows operating system.
