Program Description

Event Details

Ready to learn about “Computer Numerical Control”, ie. “Movement the Human Body Can’t Do”... Well this class will help you understand both the opportunities and the limitations of what a CNC machine can do.  This is a *basic class where you will learn safety, set-up, and simple plotting of jobs.  There is a follow-up Lab where you will get more hands-on experience and the chance to make a little nameplate to take home!

 

The following ages are allowed in this program:

  • Adults over 18
  • Youth 16 - 18 who have a signed parental permission form on file to work independently
  • Youth over 12 with a parent in attendance and participating at all times. Please register both child and adult.

Attendees must be a Mammen Family Public Library card holder in order to use makerspace equipment. TexShare and Student Passport cards do not qualify for use of makerspace equipment. Please include your library card number on the registration form below so that we can confirm your registration.
