Join us for a 3D printing class!

You’ve heard of Haikus

But may we present to you

The Lune—in 3D

We’ll use Tinkercad/Blender to create a three dimensional object modeled after lune poetry and a Prusa slicer to render the object into g-code. After you complete your creation during this class, come back to the library to have it printed during designated times in the Makerspace.

A haiku is a traditional Japanese form of poetry employing 3 stanzas of 5, 7 and 5 syllables respectively; however, the Japanese language uses more syllables in fewer words making the haiku’s English counterpart a wholly different writing experience.

Whereas a lune

Is a word-count equivalent

Of a haiku

Come celebrate National Poetry Month, challenge your brain, and learn a little about 3D design and printing.
