Celebrate Earth Day by Upcycling some Makerspace "waste material"
While you can "come and make it" in the Makerspace here at the Mammen Family Public Library and create tons of really neat things... a lot of the time that involves some form of "leftovers" ie. waste material. BUT, we have found some exciting ways to turn those "leftovers" into something more!
We will have plenty of materials for you to choose from, and several projects planned out for you for each kind of material. You only have to show up and be ready to apply your imagination to what we have on hand.
Since this is technically a "lab", we will be in the Makerspace, which can be a tight space when we have more than a few *makers in it... while we will try to add some extra seating, we will likely be reaching out to those who register to secure a 1-Hour timeslot for you to come in and work your magic (rather than the whole 3-Hours). Thanks in advance for understanding our limitations.
Attendees must be a Mammen Family Public Library card holder in order to use makerspace equipment. TexShare and Student Passport cards do not qualify for use of makerspace equipment. Please include your library card number on the registration form below so that we can confirm your registration.
