Slow Flow Yoga is a form of yoga focusing on mindfully moving with the breath. This class is perfect for all levels, from very beginners to experienced yogis. We will move deliberately through transitions, pausing for a few breaths in poses to build heat and strength, while focusing on releasing tension in the body. Class will end with a brief meditation.
Benefits include:
Improved balance and flexibility
Reduced stress and tension
Increased circulation and energy
Enhanced mental clarity and mood
Increased overall strength
Important details:
No experience is necessary.
Bring a water bottle and wear comfortable clothes for movement.
Staff recommends that you bring your own yoga mat if you are able to. Yoga mats provided by the library are limited.
All are welcome, come as you are! However, in order to fully engage in the practice, participants will need to be able to get up and down off the ground independently.
