Makerspace & DIYProgram Description
Event Details
Learn how to combine projects from various machines in the library's Makerspace to create multi-discipline works of art such as shadow boxes, layered paper cuts, wood-cut or engraved elements and even 3D rendered objects. Create a scene from a selection of ready-made designs. (You may create your own designs if you are familiar with the process however this will not be taught in class).
This is a three-part course, meeting on the following dates from 5:30pm-6:45pm: June 12, June 19, and June 26.
In the first session we will go over making small frames using the Glowforge, 3D printer and CNC router. In subsequent sessions we will add laser engraved, 3D rendered, and Cricut cut layers and elements to our designs.
Attendees must be a library card holder in order to participate in this class and to use makerspace equipment. Please include your library card number on the registration form below so that we can confirm your registration for this class.
