Learn how to play popular holiday songs on the ukulele! Join instructor Ann Scott Cook for this three-week holiday course. 

This class builds on itself and attendance is key! Please register each participant individually and plan to attend all three classes in this series

This course requires some prior experience with the basics of playing a ukulele. Minimum requirements that all attendees should have before joining this class:

  • Registrant must be able to attend all three classes
  • Completion of prior beginner class or basic understanding of the instrument beyond initial introduction
  • Knowledge of re-entrant tuning, string names, numbers and how to fret
  • Basic strums - thumb, up and down, calypso or other syncopated strums
  • Proper finger positions for the following chords: C, C7, A, Am, A7, F, G, G7, D7, Dm, Em, E7
  • Comfortable with chord progressions
  • Ability to read chord charts and tablature

Class registrants may check out a library ukulele on their library card in order to practice between classes. Please note on your registration if you will be bringing your own ukulele or borrowing one of the library's instruments.
