Program Description

Event Details

Greatful Threads is a group of quilters who gather at the library to sew quilt tops. Quilters bring their own power cords, sewing machines, and supplies. Lunch is not provided, but you are welcome to bring lunch or go get your lunch and bring it back to the library.

October Project:  If you would like to make a Peek-a-Boo Pumpkin Wall Hanging you will need the following supplies:

Fabric Requirements:

  • 9 10” black squares
  • 12 10” orange squares
  • 1.5 yds. of backing
  • .5 yd. of binding

Instructions:

  • Cut the squares into 2.5” strips and then into 2.5” squares.  You should have 137 black squares and 191 orange squares.

Select 24 orange and 24 black squares and pair them up.  On the back of the orange squares draw or press a line from corner to corner.  This will be your stitch line to make HST’s.  Trim off ¼” from sewn line and press open to form a HST.
