Girls Who Code: Building a WordPress Website
This workshop will introduce your child to the wonderful world of WordPress and help them learn or improve upon WordPress development and design! After the 5-session course is complete your child will leave with their very own WordPress.org site up and running! As each meeting of this club builds on the prior lesson, please plan to attend all five weeks. Girls Who Code is a club for girls in 3rd grade and up.
Girls should have a Gmail email account and a library card for best success with the project. Girls may also want to bring a notebook. Please note if you will be bringing your own computer or borrowing a library laptop!

Guest Instructor Bio - Kori Ashton built her first HTML website in 1998 and was instantly hooked on code. In 2012 she started a Web Design agency in San Antonio, Texas, and quickly grew the company to rank third in the industry. She has had the privilege to work on projects like San Antonio Riverwalk, Blue Bell Ice Cream, Morgan's Wonderland, San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo, and hundreds more. Kori has taught across the nation at WordCamps, locally at Youth Code Jam, and She Code Connect. You can find her each week sharing nerdy code tips on her YouTube channel.
