Program Description

Event Details

Join Mammen Family Public Library and Comal AgriLife Extension Office for chick hatching! The incubators will be delivered on Monday, May 1st and the eggs will be set on Tuesday, May 2nd. 

Ms. Lauren will be visiting from the extension office on Mondays at 4pm to candle the eggs and lead a few short lessons on egg incubation and baby chick care. 

 

May 8th: First Egg Candling and Incubator Basics

May 15th: Second Egg Candling and Brooder Box Basics

May 22nd: Baby Chick Care

 

The baby chicks will hatch the week of May 22nd and go home on Friday, May 26th. Stop by the library that week to see them before they go back to the farm that donated the eggs!
