Program Type:Arts, Crafts, & Culture
This Art 101 course is a general introduction to the world of visual arts. We’ll discuss different art concepts, media, methods, and techniques. Along the way you’ll pick up on lots of art vocabulary and learn about different types of art materials. This course is designed to expose attendees to core concepts, elements, and principles involved in the art-making process and will take a hands-on approach in teaching attendees to utilize a variety of artistic materials and techniques.
All skill levels welcome. Join us if you have an interest in developing new skills, building confidence, looking at things in new ways, and finding and harnessing your creativity.
All class materials will be supplied by the library, but you are welcome to bring any of your own supplies if there is something special you would like to use.
While this is designed as a four-part course, you don’t need to attend each class session. Join us when you are able! Please register separately for each individual date that you plan to attend.
