Event Details

Join us for adventures in 3D printing! In this series we will cover everything you need to know to start 3D printing confidently as well as some tips and tricks to brush up on or expand your existing 3D printing knowledge.

This class is part three of a four-part series. While it is recommended that registrants attend all the sessions, it is not required for them to attend all four sessions in order to register. Join the classes that you are interested in and able to attend. Please register on each individual calendar page for the classes you plan to attend:

  • Class 1 - Monday, July 8th, 5:30pm-6:45pm: 3D Printing Crash Course Lecture – Learn the basics, check out a print in action and try your hand at 3Doodler pens.
  • Class 2 - Monday, July 15th, 5:30pm-6:45pm: Create, Slice, Print! – Learn how to use Tinkercad to make your own models, Prusa Slicer to prepare them for printing and return during select hours to print your creation.
  • Class 3 - Monday, July 22nd, 5:30pm-6:45pm: Prepare to Flex – Learn about the challenges and limitations of various filaments and printing styles. Then, download a model to test a new style or filament during return hours.
  • Class 4 - Monday, July 29th, 5:30pm-6:45pm: Two-Tone Trophies – You did it! You learned to 3D print. Now make it multi-color and add [your text here].

Students who attend all four sessions in the series will be DIY certified to use the library’s 3D printers by appointment for personal projects in the future.

If you aren't able to join us for this class series in July, we hope you can join us when this class series is repeated in August! Click here for details on the August class dates.

Attendees must be a Mammen Family Public Library card holder in order to use makerspace equipment. TexShare and Student Passport cards do not qualify for use of makerspace equipment. Please include your library card number on the registration form below so that we can confirm your registration.
