 �This Beginner Sewing Class is designed for those new to sewing or looking
  to refresh their skills. The class typically covers the basics of using a
  sewing machine, fabric types, and essential sewing techniques. Students w
 ill learn how to properly set up and operate a sewing machine, thread the 
 machine, and understand stitch settings.Key elements might include:Introdu
 ction to Sewing Tools: Learn about different needles, threads, scissors, p
 ins, and other essentials.Basic Sewing Techniques: Learn to sew straight l
 ines, curves, and corners. Explore basic stitches like straight, zigzag, a
 nd backstitch.Fabric Understanding: Understand different types of fabric a
 nd how to choose the right one for projects.Simple Projects: Beginners wil
 l start with a simple quilted block project.By the end of the course, part
 icipants should feel more comfortable with a sewing machine and ready to t
 ake on beginner-level sewing projects. Attendees must be a Mammen Family 
 Public Library card holder in order to use makerspace equipment. TexShare
  and Student Passport cards do not qualify for use of makerspace equipment
