DESCRIPTION:The following ages are allowed in this program:● Adults 18+�
 �� Youth 16 - 18 with a signed parental permission form on file to work in
 dependently● Youth 10 - 15 with a participating parent in attendance at 
 all times (one child per parent). Register your child and add yourself as 
 the second seat.Join a small group of makers as you explore your creativit
 y and learn to use new equipment. Our Makerspace focuses on DIY learning w
 ith staff available to provide guidance and support as you explore. We enc
 ourage you to take your time learning, experimenting, and growing your ski
 lls! Check out the Community Project Book for inspiration & projects f
 rom previous classes and learn to make your own creations with a variety o
 f programs and equipment. Limited scrap material is available for learning
 ; please bring your own materials for projects. Reach out to maker@mfplib
 rary.org or stop by with any questions. We’re here to help bring your id
 eas to life! This is also an excellent time to get DIY Certified. Demonstr
 ate an ability to manage your own project (with minimal guidance) and we w
 ill certify you to make appointment times to use the equipment throughout 
 the week during regular Makerspace hours.Registration requires some projec
 t details and desired equipment use so we can plan accordingly. Please ca
 ncel if you are unable to attend so waitlisted patrons may have the opport
 unity to participate. Please note that our Makerspace is a shared creativ
 e environment. There may be other patrons needing assistance, so we apprec
 iate your patience as we strive to support everyone. If it is your first v
 isit, we will need to take some time for paperwork, an introduction to the
  space and equipment, and potential troubleshooting. As such, you may not 
 have enough time to complete your project on the same day. Attendees must
  be a Mammen Family Public Library card holder in order to use makerspace 
 equipment. TexShare and Student Passport cards do not qualify for use of 
 makerspace equipment. Please include your library card number on the regi
 stration form below so that we can confirm your registration.
