DESCRIPTION:Water Conservation SeriesXeriscaping in the Texas Hill Country
focusing on native plants can be challenging, yet it offers a unique oppo
rtunity to cultivate a stunning landscape while markedly reducing water us
e. This session delves into planning, soil, plant selection, irrigation ne
eds, mulch, and maintenance so you can experience a successful and rewardi
ng water-conserving landscape. This session is part of the Water Conservati
on Series, presented in partnership with Dr. Steven Grainger and Dr. Larry
Sunn, rain harvesting consultants with Rain Bees. These workshops were d
eveloped in response to common questions and concerns about various topics
related to water conservation, rain gardens, grass, water quality, pollin
ators, planting & pruning, and ecological issues. The workshops provid
e overviews (with questions and answers) for Hill Country residents to bet
ter understand water conservation needs. The 14 sessions in this weekly s
eries take place on Mondays from 12:00pm to 1:30pm beginning June 8th and
ending in September. Feel free to bring your lunch while you learn about
ways we all can protect our precious water sources!By registering for this
event, you will be registered for all of the sessions in this series and
will receive an email reminder the day before each session. Join us for a
ll sessions in this series or just the sessions that interest you!
