Program Description

Event Details

Ready to dive into the world of 3D-Animation?  In this series, led by a talented young patron, you will learn how to create your very own animated dancing character! Then at the end we will combine them all to make a dance-off video!

Class 1: Object Manipulation

Blender's capabilities; Blender interface; Keyboard shortcuts; Basic object manipulation

Class 2: 3D Modeling Essentials

Reviewing Blender interface; Making simple 3D models; Texturing

Class 3: Asset & Character Design

Finding and using assets; Choosing characters and animations

Class 4: Production

Importing characters and animations into Blender; Joining multiple animations together; Understanding lighting and camera angles

Class 5: Animation Essentials

Understanding rigging; Animating your character

Class 6: Rendering & Output

Understanding the rendering process; Outputting; External video editing


Registrants between ages 12-15 must be accompanied by an adult. Please only register your child and plan on attending with them.

 

Attendees must be a Mammen Family Public Library card holder in order to use makerspace equipment. TexShare and Student Passport cards do not qualify for use of makerspace equipment. Please include your library card number on the registration form below so that we can confirm your registration.
