AdultsProgram Description
Event Details
Join Adult Programming and the Makerspace to explore watercolor art using sublimation ink instead of traditional watercolor paint. Take a break to allow your designs to dry, then use the heat presses to sublimate your art onto a bookmark!
But what is sublimation? Sublimation uses heat and pressure to infuse color prints into a variety of materials. The dried sublimation ink becomes a gas in the heat press and as the material cools, the print is locked in. The Makerspace has a dedicated sublimation printer and in this class, we will use the printer to bond our sublimation ink "watercolor" art to the surface on which it is painted.
Attendees must be a Mammen Family Public Library card holder in order to attend this class. Texas Members, TexShare, and Student Passport cards do not qualify for programs requiring a library card. Please include your library card number on the registration form below so that we can confirm your registration.
