Learn the basics of using a serger with confidence!

In this beginner-friendly class, you’ll get hands-on experience threading your machine, understanding tension settings, and practicing essential stitches. We’ll cover how a serger differs from a regular sewing machine, common troubleshooting tips, and simple techniques to create clean, professional seams. Perfect for anyone brand new to sergers or looking to refresh their skills!

*You may use future Open Fiber Arts Hours (listed on the Online Calendar) to gain more practice with the Library's serger and/or make use of it for your own projects.

Attendees must be a Mammen Family Public Library card holder in order to use makerspace equipment. TexShare and Student Passport cards do not qualify for use of makerspace equipment. Please include your library card number on the registration form below so that we can confirm your registration.
