The following ages are allowed in this program:

  • Adults (18 and older): Eligible to attend independently.
  • Youth (16–17 years old): May attend with signed parental consent.

Do you want to get into photography but are intimidated by all that goes into it?  Don’t be!  Come by one or all of our Photo 101 classes and get to know all the basics.  Each class will focus on a particular aspect of photography, and while they do build upon each other, you don’t need to attend every class.  

*Bonus, most of what will be discussed can also be applied to smartphone photography.

*Subjects include:

  • Camera Body & Lenses (what’s in the box)
  • Portraiture (Set the Mood, Get the Shot)
  • Lighting / Location / Posing
  • Nature Photography (Sunsets, Critters, and Plants oh’my)
  • What to bring with you when & where
  • Software / Editing (too many options now days)

Attendees must be a Mammen Family Public Library card holder in order to use makerspace equipment. TexShare and Student Passport cards do not qualify for use of makerspace equipment. Please include your library card number on the registration form below so that we can confirm your registration.
