Event Details
Calling all makers and creators! Join us for an Open House featuring Makerspace equipment, the Library of Things, and more! Watch demos, check out projects that have been made at the library, and get information on how you can sign up for anything from arts and crafts to cooking to exciting equipment use at the library and at home. Stay for the whole affair and win some library-made prizes!
Demo schedule:
5ish – Sublimation Kick-off with Lindy
5:10-5:20 – Cooking with Javi: Vegetable Sushi Roll
5:30-5:40 – Tye Preston Makerspace: Embroidery
5:50-6:00 – Crafting Equipment with Gina
6:10-6:20 – Hill Country Makers: 3D Printing
6:30-6:40 – Laser Engraving with Marc
6:50 – Raffle drawing for prizes!
Between demos you can meet our inaugural Maker-in-Residence and stop by tables highlighting our Woodworking equipment, the Library of Things for home check-out, Art classes at Mammen and other area Makerspaces and resources.
The following ages are allowed in this program:
● Adults 18+
● Youth 16 - 18 with a signed parental permission form on file to work independently
● Youth 10 - 15 with a participating parent in attendance at all times. Register your child and add yourself as the second seat.
