Event Details
This summer the library is hosting a Learning Circle! A learning circle is a group of individuals who meet regularly to study a topic together. The group follows dedicated course materials and then discusses their learnings during conversations facilitated by a library staff member (who is also a fellow learner). Join us as we explore a four week course and discuss what we have learned!
This summer we will be using Coursera and taking the course "Benjamin Franklin and His World."
Learning Circle participants will need to create a free account through Coursera (https://www.coursera.org) and enroll in the "Benjamin Franklin and His World" course. Once enrolled, participants can start learning! We will follow the course timeline exactly - so on June 21 we will discuss the Week 1 materials, on June 28 we will discuss the Week 2 materials, on July 12 we will discuss the Week 3 materials, and on July 19 we will discuss the Week 4 materials.
The course will cover the life of Benjamin Franklin and his impact on history.
Please reach out to Allison (allison@mfplibrary.org) if you have any questions!
