Laser-Cut Tea Light Décor: A Beginner Glowforge Class

Want to bring a bit of warmth and light to your desk or fireplace mantle? Have you seen some nifty YouTube videos of people using laser engravers to cut out festive decorations? Well, the Makerspace is here to help!

Come learn the basics of how to “print” with one of the world’s most user-friendly laser engravers, the Glowforge, and leave with a customized work of decorative art!

We will be making a tea light décor piece. You will select your panel background from some prepared artwork, learn how to hunt down the perfect image on the internet for the centerpiece, and then watch it get cut out before your very eyes!

Note: This class will also be offered on Wednesday, December 6, 2023 from 2:00pm - 3:15pm. In order to help us make this class available to as many patrons as possible, please register to attend only one of the class sessions.

Attendees must be a Mammen Family Public Library card holder in order to use makerspace equipment. TexShare and Student Passport cards do not qualify for use of makerspace equipment. Please include your library card number on the registration form below so that we can confirm your registration.
