The following ages are allowed in this program:
Adults (18 and older): Eligible to attend independently.
An overview of basic woodturning (Two Sessions)
- The first session of the course will include a brief show & tell about the equipment and tools used in woodturning, along with a live demonstration of the fundamental techniques and skills needed to turn wooden objects on a lathe.
- The second session will offer an individual hands-on opportunity to turn a small Christmas Tree Ornament on the lathe. These will be approximately 45min one-on-one appointments, held on November 13th between 1pm-7pm.
*Sign-up for the second session will be handled at the end of the first session.
Attendees must be a Mammen Family Public Library card holder in order to use makerspace equipment. TexShare and Student Passport cards do not qualify for use of makerspace equipment. Please include your library card number on the registration form below so that we can confirm your registration.
