Program Type:
Makerspace & DIYProgram Description
Event Details
Yup! It is almost that magical time of year when Dads get to grill whatever they want as long as they wear their new [insert thing they like or silly antidote] tie! Or maybe not (at least the tie part)!
- Register for this event and get the chance to make One-of-the-Kinds laser engraved items.
- You could put “dad’s name here” on his favorite *wood handled tool
- Create a custom wooden nameplate for the office
- Draw on a piece of wood… and then get it engraved!
*Some wooden laser-ready items will be provided for patron use; however if you want to bring in your own items you should check with a MKS-Tech beforehand as there are some restrictions we need to consider. Feel free to use this LINK to fill out our online contact form, or use the email in the calendar description to contact us.
- Your engraving should not take the entire 3-hours, in fact most will take no longer than 5 minutes to engrave. This program is a “register to drop-in” and patrons will be seen in the order they arrive.
*This registration allows for two seats, if registering a child please add yourself to their registration.
*The following ages are allowed in this program:
● Adults 18+
● Youth 16 - 18 with a signed parental permission form on file to work independently
● Youth 10 - 15 with a participating parent in attendance at all times. Register your child and add yourself as the second seat.
Attendees must be a Mammen Family Public Library card holder in order to use makerspace equipment. TexShare and Student Passport cards do not qualify for use of makerspace equipment. Please include your library card number on the registration form below so that we can confirm your registration.
