Program Description

Event Details

Join us for a conversation with artist CHRISTINE ALLISON BLANKENSHIP, whose work is featured in the library's hallway exhibit. We will hear about Christine's artistic process, including what inspires her creativity and how she creates her work. There will also be time for attendees to ask questions.

Christine's art will be on display at the library from October 15th through November 15th.

__________________________________________________________________________________________

Christine was schooled as a painter, but has recently added photography to her list of favorite mediums. In this series of floral images, she brings a painterly touch to her photography. Composition, texture, color and mood are manipulated through the editorial process, similar to how a painter might draw, layer, and combine colors to create an image and a feeling.

Starting with the inherent beauty and individuality of her subject matter, Christine has gone beyond capturing straightforward representations and has added her own interpretation.
