Event Details
Come get a handle on the basics of 3D printing! Learn where to find and download models as well as how to create your own using a variety of free programs. We will also cover how to “slice” files for printing and how to operate and maintain a 3D printer. Attendees will also get to try out a 3D printing pen activity during the class!
Bring all your 3D printing questions to this class and discover which subsequent 3D printing programs you’d like to attend for a deeper dive and some spooky creations all month! This lecture/demo course will not include individual projects, but we will have other courses throughout October for patrons to design and print various projects. This is a great course if you are new to 3D printing and have no idea where to start. Seasoned 3D makers are also welcome to learn something new and share their expertise and experience!
Attendees must be a Mammen Family Public Library card holder in order to use makerspace equipment. TexShare and Student Passport cards do not qualify for use of makerspace equipment. Please include your library card number on the registration form below so that we can confirm your registration.
